January 04, 2014 – Known for its world-famous theme parks and resorts, Disney was among the first leisure enterprises to focus on accessibility solutions for guests with sensory disabilities. In collaboration with HP and Disney, Softeq Development Corporation built the first handheld device providing assistive services to guests with visual and/or hearing disabilities. The DURATEQ® handheld project was implemented long before smartphones and other similar devices appeared on the market. Softeq, a seasoned provider of embedded software and firmware development services, has been featured in a Disney videohighlighting the Disney ACCESS™ System featuring Disney SyncLink™ Technology.
